Jonathan Mariner is a Senior Deal Partner at Andalusian Sports Advisors. He collaborates with ASA deal teams on transaction advisory assignments, drawing on decades of operating and deal experience in sports.

From 2002 to 2014 Mr. Mariner served as MLB’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer. In these roles he oversaw MLB’s multibillion‑dollar pension assets, endowment, strategic‑investment fund, and league‑wide credit facility; instituted MLB’s central financial‑reporting system; and supervised every club sale, relocation, and stadium financing.

Mr. Mariner is also the Founder and President of TaxDay, LLC, a residency‑tracking software company, and currently serves on the boards of Rocket Companies (audit chair), Tyson Foods (audit chair), Five9, IEX Exchange, and McGraw Hill Education, among other public and private organizations.

Throughout his career, Mr. Mariner has cultivated deep relationships with team owners, league executives, and media‑rights partners across professional sports.

Mr. Mariner earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School; he is also a former Certified Public Accountant.
